Vintage Watch Condition Examination
This Submariner is in great vintage condition with wear consistent with age. The case is strong with normal signs of wear. The bezel ring has remained sharp and the bezel insert is a later service replacement in great condition. The dial is in overall great condition with light patina. The lume on the dial and in the hands have developed patina and aged to an attractive cream color. The folded link bracelet is in great condition with light stretch between the links.

Pre Owned Rolex Submariner ref. 1680 (1978) is one of the most sought-after vintage watches on the market. It hails from the legendary Submariner collection, complete with a waterproof case, 60-minute diver’s bezel, and self-winding movement. The 1680 also holds a special place in Rolex history as the first Submariner to feature a date mechanism on the dial. Rolex initially made the 1680 with a single line of red text on the dial and would later move to all white text like the example we have here. These “White” 1680s have gained popularity and are a great entry into the world of vintage Rolex.
