Vintage Rolex GMT-Master Ref 1675

Vintage Watch Condition Examination:

This GMT-Master is in great, honest vintage condition with wear consistent with age. The case is strong with normal signs of wear. The bezel is a later blue back service replacement in overall great condition with normal signs of wear. The  “swiss only” SuperLuminova dial is a service replacement and in great condition; the lume will still glow. The date wheel is a later service replacement. The hands are later SuperLuminova service replacements in great condition. The Oyster bracelet is in overall great condition with normal signs of wear and light stretch between the links; the clasp shows signs of polishing.  

Description: Rolex GMT-Master Pepsi 1675 

The GMT Master is Rolex?s signature pilot?s watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It?s one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because it?s instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.

It was very common for Rolex to change and update watches when they come in for routine service and that is exactly what happened to this watch. These all serviced up examples offer a great value and are ideal for daily wearers.
