Pre-owned Rolex Sea-Dweller ref 16660 (1984). Rolex played an integral role in the evolution of the dive watch industry. It was the iconic watch brand that developed the first waterproof wristwatch in 1926 with the release of their innovative waterproof Oyster case. In the decades since then, Rolex continued to build upon the Oyster case’s impressive design. The Sea-Dweller is just one such example that takes the design of the legendary Submariner and increases its water resistance up to 2,000 feet. Reference 16660 is a cult favorite among collectors in the know because it also features the brand’s classic 40mm diameter (compared to larger examples being produced today), a Cyclops-free sapphire crystal, and an aluminum bezel.
