Pre-owned Rolex Datejust ref 16030 (1984) was released in the 1970s, replacing ref. 1603 and presenting customers with a slightly more upgraded design set. The movement was upgraded to the caliber 3035 with a Quickset date, and the inherently vintage Pie Pan dial was swapped for a flatter, more contemporary watch face. Aside from those upgrades, ref. 16030 has all the Datejust DNA that has defined the collection since the 1940s, including a waterproof screw-down crown, self-winding mechanical movement, and a date display at 3 o’clock. Ref. 16030 is also widely sought-after among collectors because it sports the unique engine-turned-bezel, a textured bezel no longer in production.
