Pre-owned Rolex Air King ref 5500 (1970) is the quintessential vintage Air-King watch. Rolex produced ref. 5500 from the late 1950s until the late 1980s, also making it one of the most approachable vintage watches on the secondary market. While many iterations were released during its impressive production run, including models in precious metals and even those with a date on the dial, none is as iconic and sought-after as the Rolex for sale here. It is the blueprint for all other Air King models that were made, featuring the iconic logo font on the dial, simple time-only dial, and resilient steel-on-steel finish. Ref. 5500 also sports the self-winding mechanical movement and the waterproof Oyster case.
