Pre-owned Rolex Submariner ref 16613 (1990) – aka “Rolex Bluesy” – is one of the most beloved timepieces in the Rolex portfolio. In addition to being a nostalgic 5-digit Rolex, ref. 16613 also sports a nautical and charming two-tone design set paired with a vibrant blue dial and bezel, hence the name “Bluesy.” Ref. 16613 was the last two-tone Sub to feature an aluminum bezel and a narrower case before the 5-digit generation was discontinued to make way for the ceramic bezel series. As a result, it has a slightly different aesthetic than the models currently in production, which will appeal to many passionate collectors. The example you see here features a durable scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a uni-directional bezel graduated to 60 minutes, and Tritium lume.
