Description: Rolex Datejust 1625
Pre-owned Rolex Datejust ref 1625 (1964) was an innovation of its time. When the collection came to market in the early 1950s, it was the first Rolex watch to sport a rotating bezel, pre-dating other, more well-known tool watches such as the Submariner and GMT Master. Also known as the “Turn-o-Graph” and “Thunderbird,” this Rolex will go down in watchmaking lore as a Rolex first. At its core, ref. 1625 is a classically elegant two-tone Datejust, complete with the legendary dress watch’s signature calendar display, 36mm waterproof Oyster case, self-winding movement, and 5-link jubilee bracelet. This vintage model also features an older-style acrylic crystal and Tritium in a yellowish patina.
